1. Information We Collect

The Quantum Link Foundation ("we", "us", "our") collects the following information when you use our services:

Identity & Contact Information: When you initiate a token purchase, we collect your full name, email address, and phone number to issue your unique purchase reference, send confirmations and post-sale communications, and handle support requests. These fields are required to complete the buy flow.
Wallet Addresses: If you provide a wallet address (optional, used for claim eligibility), we store it associated with your purchase. Once tokens are claimed, the receiving wallet address is recorded on the BNB Smart Chain public ledger.
Transaction Data: Cryptocurrency deposits to the addresses we issue you are recorded on-chain. We log the corresponding deposit-tx hash and amount in our database to credit your purchase.
IP Address & Country: We log the IP address from which you access the buy flow and resolve it to a country code for jurisdictional compliance (we do not provide service to certain jurisdictions). IPs are not retained beyond 30 days for active sessions.
Usage Data: Anonymised analytics data such as page views, browser type, and referral sources to improve our website.

We do not collect government-issued identification documents, physical addresses, or financial account details (the buy flow uses on-chain crypto transfers, not credit cards or bank transfers).

Lawful basis (UK GDPR / EU GDPR): We process this data on the basis of (a) contract — the data is necessary to fulfil your token purchase, and (b) legitimate interests — fraud prevention, security, and jurisdictional compliance.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following specific purposes:

Issuing your purchase reference and deposit address (name + email + phone)
Sending order confirmations, claim notifications, and project updates related to your purchase (email)
Customer support — responding to enquiries about your purchase or claim (name + email + phone)
Fraud and abuse prevention — detecting bot activity, duplicate purchases, and rate-limit violations (IP, email)
Jurisdictional compliance — restricting service in jurisdictions where token sales are not permitted (IP / country)
Smart contract operations — wallet addresses are used to credit your token allocation and process claims
Legal compliance — responding to lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement

3. Blockchain Transactions

Public by Nature: Blockchain transactions are inherently public. When you purchase QNTM tokens, your wallet address, transaction amount, and timestamp are permanently recorded on the BNB Smart Chain public ledger. This data cannot be modified or deleted by any party, including Quantum Link Foundation.

We encourage users to familiarise themselves with the public nature of blockchain technology before participating in the presale.

4. Cookies

Our website may use essential cookies to ensure proper functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Essential Cookies: Required for basic site functionality (session management, security).
Analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. No personally identifiable information is collected through these tools.

5. Third-Party Services

Our website integrates with the following third-party services:

Web3 Wallet Providers: MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and other wallet providers handle your private keys and transaction signing. We do not have access to your private keys.
BNB Smart Chain: All presale transactions are processed on the BNB Smart Chain network.
CDN Services: We use content delivery networks to serve website assets efficiently.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy that governs its handling of your data.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold:

Smart contract security audits
Limited access to backend systems

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Please note that blockchain data cannot be modified or deleted due to the immutable nature of distributed ledger technology.

Purchase records (name, email, phone, wallet, transaction data): retained for the lifetime of the token presale + 7 years thereafter for tax and accounting compliance.
IP / session logs: 30 days, then automatically purged.
Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe (every email contains an unsubscribe link).
On-chain data (wallet addresses, transactions): permanent — written to the public BSC ledger by the network, outside of our control.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updated policy.
